Description of the Characteristics of the Quadruplet Elements Undergraduate Curriculum with Emphasis on Training Entrepreneurship Skills

Abstract:
One of the most significant elements for universities and higher education system is the curriculum, which serves determining and undeniable role as an efficient purpose in achieving the higher education goals in terms of quantitative and qualitative. The main goals of this research are; the description of quadruplet elements and characteristics, organizing the content, strategies of teaching and methods, evaluating the curriculum of undergraduate with emphasis on training entrepreneurship skills. This research is Descriptive – Developmental, which has been completed with the method of the survey and library research. The statistical population includes faculty members of educational sciences department of state universities and group of experts in entrepreneurship; which 194 members are chosen for study. The compiling of information is done through the questionnaires. The content validity of the questionnaires is organized according to specialists in this field and its reliability is based on the Cronbach Alpha which estimates 92/5. Data analysis has been done on the basis of the independent T test. The research findings show that the various elements of the curriculum must be used in, creating required competence in different aspects of knowledge, theory, and the skills need for student in his/her desired field. Also, training mental skills and introducing the knowledge of entrepreneurship to the students and creating such a mentality are all applied in educating the students. It has been revealed that, the organization of curriculum in terms of an interdisciplinary and problem-based approach, creating the opportunity for experience in teaching classes, and relevant evaluation are all essential factors for training entrepreneurship skills in students. Based on the findings, curriculum revision of undergraduate approach with emphasis on entrepreneurship is essential and inevitable. Also investigating similar studies in other section of higher education is recommended. It could be concluded that if developing entrepreneurship skills in students would be considered in undergraduate curriculum, the mission of higher education in the field of training human resources professional efficient would be realized.
