Effects of Methamphetamine and Narcotics on the Increase of Libido and Reckless Sexual Behavior

Methamphetamine increases libido and reckless sexual behaviors. Narcotics can also be effective in this case by reducing the feeling of anxiety, hostility and aggression. The purpose of this research is to compare sexual behaviors and sexual recklessness of narcotic and amphetamine abusers. The research was performed as a comparative study on 80 men (40 Amphetamine and 40 Narcotic abusers). Therefore, the required data was collected through the administration of “Sexual Behavior “and it was then followed by the analysis of variance (ANOVA). Compared with Narcotics consumption, taking Amphetamines increases the sexual desire along with sexual misconduct; however, no between-group differences were found with regard to high-risk sexual behaviors. Amphetamine abuse can arouse the desire to have and being heavily engaged in sexual behaviors. It can also create a defective cycle including aspiration-excitation. In this condition, having high-risk sexual behaviors would raise the possibility of STDs, an issue that can also be noticed in Narcotic abusers. It seems possible that we are able to prevent the individuals from going through this cycle by providing effective sexual training and enhancing their awareness.
