A Retrospect over the Academic life of Allame Mir Hamed Hussain Hendi according to "Al-Dorar Al-Sunniyah Book

Mir Hamed Hussain Hendi (1246-1306 A.H.) - an Indian Shia Scholar of 13th century - is the author of a lasting book on proving Imamat issue named Abaghat Al-Anwar. He gathered his letters and his writings in a book "Al-Dorar Al-Sanniyah". This unpublished book depicts some aspects of his life which is not mentioned yet. The book has been gathered when he was alive by Muhammad Jafar Zahiri. In the present article, some aspects of Mir Hamed Hussain Hendi's life such as his attempt in collecting precious books, or even anti-shia books to answer them, a report of his pilgrimage to Mecca and to other holy places of Karbala, Najaf and kazemein in 1282 A.h., his ethical will, his problems and diseases have been included.The author of this essay includes some samples of sermons of Mir Hamed Hussain Hendi to show the used rhyme in his writings and another writing of him making a supplication to Imam Mahdi (p.b.u.h.).
