The Impediments to promotion of the Culture of Inclination to the Sports for Spending the Leisure-Time among the Female Teachers in Isfahan

This research was conducted to determine the impediments to promotion of the culture of inclination to the sports for spending the leisure-time among the female teachers in Isfahan. Descriptive method was followed in this study. The statistical populating consisted all 8032 official and contractual female teachers employed in ordinary public schools of Isfahan five districts in the academic year 2009-2010. Sample population was 170 selected by multi phase's random process. The tool for collecting data was the researcher designed questionnaire. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed using the opinions of supervisor and experts in this field, and the reliability with 92% on the basis of Kronbach Alpha. The analysis of research data indicated the impediments to the promotion of the culture of inclination to the sports for spending the leisure –time among the female teachers in Isfahan have consisted of the poor information and poor facilities and equipments(with a mean of 3.84),the religious prejudices (with a mean of 3.23), the cultural traditions and customs (with a mean of 3.31), that among these factors, the facilities and equipments with a mean of 3.84 had the highest mean and the religious prejudices with a mean of 3.23 received the lowest mean. Also there was no difference with the respect to the marital status, education, and place of work by comparison with the respondent's opinions.
