A study of Impossibility of Distortion of Qur ̈an in the works of Shaikh Bahauddin Ameli

In a study of the works of Shaikh Bahai, one will come to the point that he believed in impossibility of distortion of the holy Qur¨an by referring to the reasons:1. The Qur¨anic verses;2. The traditions and words of the holy Prophet;3. The frequent application and recitation of the Qur¨an text.His Qur¨anic reason refers to the Qur¨anic verses 15:90; and 41:41-2.To prove the subject by providing the traditions, he refers to several traditions and narrations in the field ofjurisprudence, and even non-jurisprudence.The proof based on the frequrnt applications of the holy text of Qur¨an, relies on the "unexpressable desires and attentions of the muslim people and communities to write, quote, and recite different parts of the holy Qur¨an.Therefore, Shaikh Bahai considers the slight differences in recitation of the Qur¨anic texts, or the verses used in the daily prayers as "natural". He discredits any discrepancy of "other collections" of the Qur¨anic verses with the "current" Qur¨an.
