Foundation, Principles and methods of Intellectual training from the perspective of the Quran and Narratives

Intellect has always been considered as an inseparable part of human existence. All intellectual training schools, in their own approach, have paid attention to the necessity and significance of it. It is quite obvious that everyone can have his/her own conceptualization regarding the value of intellectual training. But, in order to have a comprehensive and systematic blueprint based on Islamic principles; one must explore and analyze the verses of Quran and narratives to guide the intellectual training. In this article that performed with method of descriptive-analytical, through the use of verses and narratives an Islamic perspective on intellectual training is clarified. Then, Foundations, principles and methods based on Islam is presented. Based on the analysis performed in the Quran verses and narratives on the issue of the role of Intellect, three foundations, three principles and four educational methods including thinking method, purification methods, wisdom and experiential are extracted. With attention to educational methods extracted in this article, in Islamic education duties of teachers not only transmit scientific facts and religion. But they must provide student favorite conditions for thinking and they must teach them how to think and learn. Appoint student to thinking was the Main job of the teacher. An effective teacher is a person who can counter learners with problems that solving them involves having nurtured thinking.
