Providing a General Model of Adult Religious Education in Quran with Emphasis on the Educator's Duties

Message:
Abstract:
Education is a process which should be analyzed and whose stages should be defined. Researchers should elucidate the path of education by studying man's existential dimensions and recognizing the ways through which the educator can influence the trainee. The result of such a study can be offered as a "model". When educators put this model into practice, their work will be fast and accurate, and it will be possible for them evaluate their educational activities. The present investigation is founded on the Quranic verses and the accounts of prophet's educational lifestyle as narrated in this divine book. The research method is thematic commentary. First, the relevant Quranic verses have been compiled, classified and analyzed. According to these propositions, a five –stage model has been proposed in order to devise the path to be followed by the instructor of religion. These five stages are as follows: 1. acquiring qualification; 2. establishing relationship; 3. invitation to a monotheistic attitude; 4. invitation to religious life; and 5. evaluation and continuation of education.
