I-SPH method to simulate impulsive wave generated by landslides
A smoothed particle hydrodynamics formulation is presented to simulate impulsive wave generated by landslides. This method is considered in two forms: 1) compressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics (C-SPH) and 2) incompressible smoothed particle hydrodynamics (I-SPH). In this paper, in addition to introducing SPH method, simulated wave generated by landslides using I-SPH method and Resulted that achieved, for the validation, compared with experimental results. For survey efficiency of numerical model, we compared the results with the results of Nasa-Vof Eulerian numerical model and also C-SPH Lagrangian numerical model. These results showed that the given wave profile from I-SPH is very close to the experimental results than Nasa-Vof and C-SPH methods.
