Performance of a Solar Absorption Cooling System
In regard to recent energy, especially in summer and limited fuel resources as well as emissions, Solar energy is on of the sources is very important. Given the considerable energy from the sun, we can use this energy for refrigeration systems, cooling load for homes in summer and heating requirements in winter. In this paper, the performance of solar absorption cooling systems are reviewed. The modelling of a solar absorption cooling system, using a flat plate collector, water storage tank and a water-lithium bromide. A computer program has been developed for the absorption cooling system water-lithium bromide to simulate and design to provide certain residential cooling needs. The maximum cooling load is 120KW, which occurs in july. Solar energy is collected by flat plate collector perfectly located to the south. Finally the influence of various parameters on the efficiency of this cycle are examined. The results show that the duration of a solar absorption cooling system strongly depends on the solar collector surface.
