The Allegorical and Symbolic Vlaues of Mount Alborz in the Mythological Geography of Shahnameh

Habits are tall fences and stern walls that deprive man of the chance to behold novelty. This article is a new look at God's most elevated and awe-inspiring sign, i.e. the mount.The descent of man on to Mount Alborz (the myth of Kiyoomars) and his ascent to the heavens (the myth of Kaikhosro) and the divine favours on the way back (the myth of Zal) is a symbol of pantheism. The mount is a symbol of the centre and the way to get to this centre is to rid of time, i.e. the returning of man to his origin.This article tries to study and critique a small part of the mythical secrets of the mythological geography of Shahnameh.
