Page 37BackgroundMore than fifty years have passed since Samuel Kirk used the term learning disability to describe children who average or above average intelligence. In the fact, these children are both puzzling and paradoxical. Generally, they have many problems in school. Term of learning disability in Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of mental disorders, 5th edition (2013) changed and named specific learning disorder (SLD). In recently definition of SLD that had done by American Association of Psychiatric (APA), there had changes in diagnostic criteria. Diagnostic criteria of intelligence quotient and achievement discrepancy named wait to fall model for delay to identification and limited. On the other hand, response to intervention (RTI) replaced it. RTI is a reality in todays classrooms, bringing with it a wide range of questions.ConclusionRTI is a multi-step school improvement approach to provide early academic and behavioral supports. Page 47BackgroundAutism is a neurodevelopment disorder that usually appears in early years and its main characteristics are repeated problems in social interaction, abnormal verbal and nonverbal communication, and stereotyped patterns of behavior and interests. Two of the therapies that are currently being discussed are music therapy and play therapy. Music with play is one of the skills necessary for communication in children with autism who do not use language to communicate. As a result the experience of music and play and the interaction between them ends in improving communication which is one of the main problems in these children. Through the process of integrating music and plays, patients will move to reach some predetermined goals by the help of some specialists who are trained in such courses. These goals may include improving motor, social and interpersonal development, reduced stereotypical behaviors, achieving self-awareness, but they are not limited to these.ConclusionIn this article, the importance of music education and play and the effect of training and playing music in children with autism is discussed. It is concluded that music therapy should be useful in conjunction with play therapy. Keywords: Children, Autism spectrum disorder, Music therapy, Play therapy

This paper describes the evaluation of a group program designed specifically to meet the anger management needs of a group of individuals with various levels of intellectual disability and/or complex communication needs.
Method29 participants were randomly assigned to an intervention group or a waiting-list comparison group. The Intervention comprised a 12-week anger management program which incorporates adapted content and pictographic materials developed for clients with a range of disabilities.
ResultsOn completion of the program, clients from the intervention group had made significant improvements in their self-reported anger levels, compared with clients from the comparison group, and relative to their own pre-intervention scores. Treatment effects were maintained at 4-month follow-up. In contrast, there was an absence of measured improvements in Quality of life.
ConclusionThe results provide evidence for the programs effectiveness as an intervention for anger problems for individuals with a range of disabilities.
