The South Western part of Iran which for Arab conquerors was very significant in the early Islamic conquest era soon turned to a battle field in which Sasanid soldiers began to fight against Arab invaders. Initially occurred in the boarder lines then stretched over North East and Transoxania, the battles eventually caused surrender to Arabs by some Asawira, Ahamira and Bukhariyya. The main question is: what was the status of captivated Iranian fighters among the Arab tribal army? Applying descriptive-analytical approach, findings show that the Iranian fighters were soon taken to account for their competence and capabilities by Arab commanders and chiefs. They received alike or relatively higher privilege than their Arab counterparts in the battle fields using their military skills and experiences to the benefit of Arab chiefs. The Iranian fighters at the same time independent in making decision, stayed away from the tribal conflicts between Arabs.

After the institution of Zoroastrian teachings over the Iranian Plateau, the religion was officially supported by Sassanid government. Evangelical religion, Zoroastrian became prominent religion across the Sassanid territory and partly the neighboring areas such as Arabian Peninsula (especially Yemen and Bahrain). Since the settlement of Iranian Zoroastrian in southern and eastern parts of the Peninsula, Arab neighbor tribes gradually tended to communicate with Zoroastrians and eventually accepted the new religion. Based on the current evidence, the spread of Zoroastrian religion across the peninsula was mostly through the commercial relationships as well as the presence of Sasanid guards in eastern borders of peninsula in order to control the rebellious Arab tribes. The present article is aimed to answer two questions: How did Zoroastrian religion spread across the southern and eastern part of the Arabian Peninsula? And what was the relationship of the Prophet (pbuh) and Zaroastrians in the Peninsula? Applying explanatory-interpretative method and employing historical sources, this research reached to these conclusions The spread of Zoroastrian religion across the peninsula initially was the result of military actions and deploying troops in southern parts, while in eastern regions the spread was due to the proximity to Iran, commercial trips and also the presence of Sassanid guards in the borders. The interaction between the Prophet and Zoroastrians initially began by sending letters and continued with no military involvement. No evidence of compulsory abandonment of Zaroastrian religion or forceful submission to Islam exists at these communications. Zoroastrians had to pay Islamic ransom to get permission to live safe inside the Islamic territory.

Mamluks despite their glorious past gradually became weak and finally collapsed. As this fact has always been a question for historians, this research from the view point of economic issues, seeks to find the main economic factors which collaborated in Mamluks fall. Applying descriptive analytical approach, the study confirms that a bulk of economic in addition to political issues put serious effect on the fall of Mamluk authority. Political issues such as: the lack of legitimacy, civil conflicts, succession crisis and Ottoman’s frequent invasions should also be considered in the subject. In fact economic crisis as well as the discovery of “Cape of Good Hope” which resulted to the abandonment of Mamluk trade routes beside other problematic issues like: natural catastrophes, recession, poor production industry, administrative corruption, hoard and public discontent, led to the collapse of Mamluks. Gilan province, surrounded by auspicious natural environment namely Caspian sea and Alborz mountain chains covered by woods and having wet weather, is a geographically distinct area in Iran. This environment made particular conditions for Gilan in terms of human, economic and political issues. The isolated province from eastern caliphate, Gilan never fully surrendered to the domination of caliphate or Mughols. The province used to be ruled over by the local commanders independently. The structure of human, politics and culture in Gilan shows stability before domination of Russians who broke the natural fence of surroundings by road constructions. Studying on the environmental and political potential of Gilan province, this research states that independence and survival of local governments was the result of natural environmental, ethnical and cultural borders surrounding Gilan and Dylaman.

The entrance of Islam to the Indian sub-continent put a great effect on a range of developments from religion to socio-political and cultural issues. Historiography was among significant developments which later on by spreading Islam in North West part of sub-continent flourished as a branch of literature. The domination of Persian language and Persian views in historiography on the Islamic Indian historiography determines the deep influence of Iranian historiography on the Indian’s. In fact Indian historiography initially began to improve by producing works in Persian language at the time of Delhi Sultans. Those works are in fact considered as major sources in studying medieval Indian history. Within every unique work, various components which are considered or employed by the historian is identifiable. The components like: the view points of historian, selection policy in terms of historical events, the sources employed be historian, the methods of historiography, the tools to examine the facts, the methods applied in collecting and sorting data, the social grounds and literature applied in every individual work seems unique. Amir Khosrow Dehlavi is among those scholars whose status in Indian sub-continent historiography has been neglected. This research studies on his works and his role in medieval Indian historiography. Applying context and discourse analysis method, the survey reveals that Amir Khosrow, although is not seen as a professional historiograph, he was able to reflect some historical facts about his time as well as the history of India through the mirror of literature.
