Ronald Victor Courtenay Bodley (1892-1970), the English Islamic studies scholar, has studied the life of the Prophet (PBUH) based on the social evolution theory and the environmental effects of Saudi Arabia on the prophet in the book of The Messenger: the life of Mohammad. He experienced living with the Arabs to understand the living conditions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). This paper by using the descriptive-analytical method seeks to answer this question that what effect considering the Saudi Arabia environmental conditions approach had on Bodley’s view of the prophet? Findings of the research indicate that perceiving the prophet in the context of Saudi Arabia environmental conditions caused Bodley to present a more balanced perspective of the Prophet (PBUH). Although his views sometimes confirmed the same hostile middle ages’ perspectives, his tone wasn’t offensive. Bodley interpreted some of the prophet’s characteristics similar to the Arabs’ life. He also severely criticized the former views and emphasized the good attributes of the prophet, such as simple living.

Slave bargain that was common in the West of Europe for a long time continued after the conquer of Andalusia by Muslims in the last decade of the first century A.H. Meanwhile, slaves from the northern regions of Spain, especially Slavic lands, entered the Andalusian markets. These slaves, known in medieval Islamic sources as Saqaliba, were often bought by Jewish merchants and transferred to Andalusia in the west Islamic world. The main question of the research is that where was the prime origin and geographical dispersion of Saqaliba and how did they enter the community of Andalusia? Findings indicate that Saqaliba were a group of white people living in Eastern and Central Europe that had entered Andalusia as slaves. The Umayyad rulers of Andalusia, who were harassed of ethnic and tribal competitions of Berbers and the Arabs used this opportunity for their government permanence in Andalusia. Thus, the Slave bargain of Saqaliba has been beneficial for all the three sides of this triangle transfer i.e., the slaves, the Jewish merchants, and the Umayyad governors.

Islam in the first three centuries of its arrival to the Indian Subcontinent experienced different periods of confrontation and collaboration with Buddhism. This article considers three main basics of Islamic-Buddhism relationships in the first three centuries of the Islamic caliphate, i.e., Islam arrival and caliphate indetermination encountering the Buddhists, economic and commercial cooperation and competition, and cultural and belief interactions of the two. The purpose of this research is realistic framing of the Islam and Buddhism relationships. The main issue of the research is whether the relationships between Buddhists and Muslims was based on a constant conflict, as reflected in works of many orientalists and English researchers, and Muslims had always sought to annihilate Buddhism off the conquered Islamic lands? Findings indicate that the relationship between Muslims and Buddhists was more varied and dynamic and hasn’t been limited to religious disputations. It seems that in contrast to the relationship of Muslims and Hindus, Muslims had better relationships and more economic and belief interactions with Buddhists.

By the rise of the Safavid government with the claim of Siyāda, the role of Sādāt and the position of Siyāda in the history of Iran on the contrary to previous periods, entered a new stage. Thus, the two concepts of Sādāt and Siyāda in the historiography of the Safavid period became special. The main issue of this research is considering the role of Sādāt and the position of Siyāda in the historiography of the Safavid period. Findings of this research which has been done by historical method indicate that historiographical sources of that period by emphasizing three categories of founder attribution of Safavid dynasty, the main role of Karkiya Sādāt in the establishment of the Safavid government, and the role of the triad Sādāt in the Battle of Chaldoran paid especial attention to the concept of Siyāda. The predominant attention of historical sources to these three categories emphasizing Sādāt's actions in the events of the Safavid period and Sādāt's attention to the historiography indicates the changes of the Siyāda position and the role of Sādāt's social group in creating a dominant discourse in the historiography of the Safavid period.
