    The ancient Bahrain region and the contribution of Imami scholars there in Shia culture can be subject to academic discussions based on manuscripts and the surviving works of the region’s scholars. Fortunately, a significant number of works by these scholars have been published; however, they have received less attention. In the present article, there is a detailed discussion about one of the 13th century Qatifi scholar named Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Arafat Qadihi based on his book Al-Kashkul. Sheikh Ibrahim spent an important part of his life in Mashhad and the cities of Khorasan. Apart from being an important source for his biography, his book Al-Kashkul contains anthropological points and sometimes unique information about some literary flows in the 13th century Najaf. The rest of the article includes some points based on manuscripts written by the ancient Bahrain scholars and an attempt has been made to show their contribution to the writing and transmission of the Imami written heritage.

    This article is about Mullah Mohammad Sadegh Ardestani (1054-1134 AH), his life, thoughts, record, works and his children and offspring. The author explains about the history and geography of Ardestan, Hakim Ardestani’s family, biography and list of Shia works of Jamaluddin Ardestani in the ninth century, masters, students, contemporaries and the famous figures of the same name Mohammad Sadegh Ardestani. Among his works, twenty mainly philosophical ones are introduced. The author also expresses the views of historians and thinkers about him and discusses his attribution to Sufism and his relationship with Sultan Hussein Safavi.

    A brief introduction of the book “History of Persian memorandums” is the indelible work of Ahmad Golchin Ma’ani (1295-1379 SH), in which published and unpublished Persian memorandums (tazkerahs) have been have been introduced in detail and with special attention. Taking into consideration hundreds of anonymous Persian memorandums having been found and their publication so far, the author urges editing the book. He also offers two proposals (by combining, trimming and editing information and also completing the book using the newly-found copies of memorandums) for republishing this magnificent work.

    After reporting some of the publications of Sheikh Tusi’s al-Fehrest, the author refers to a note related to the year 587 AH. Which has appeared at the first pages of some of its editions. Then, by analyzing the content and version, he tells the story of this note and proves that this note has nothing to do with the original book. On this basis, he proposes to revise Tusi’s book again.

    It is a list of works of Abdolhossein Navai (1302-1383 SH) which is organized in 4 chapters: “Compilation”, “Correction”, “Under Supervision” and “About”. In each case, complete bibliographical coordinates of books, including: title, author (in translations and proofreading works), translator (in translations), place of publication, publisher, year of publication, number of volumes, number of pages, size and type of cover are mentioned. In Abdolhossein Navai’s bibliography, thirteen authored books, thirty-three text corrections, five books written under his supervision and two books written about him are introduced. Opposite of each text in the bibliography, illustrations of his books are printed.

    In this article, the author introduces sixty-three titles related to Sulaim’s book with their abstract and keywords. These resources include articles, manuscripts, print and digital books, dissertations, screenplays, online reports and articles, conference reports, encyclopedia entries, lectures, pamphlets and manuscripts. The mentioned sources are in Persian, Arabic, Urdu and English languages, which show different views about this first-century book. The author also gives a brief biography of these works’ initiators, the relationship between these resources to each other and his critique about some of them.

    The article contains eighty unpublished written documents of Ayatollah Sayyid Shahab al-Din Marashi Najafi, which is divided into seven sections: Letters from other ulema to Ayatollah Marashi - Letters of Ayatollah Marashi to other ulema – Permission applications – Permissions – Letters of course confirmations - Epigrams - Endowment and genealogies approvals, etc. The author gives some elaborations on the biographies of the figures mentioned in these documents. These documents are considered as a part of the history of Shia scholars in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries.

    Expressing the significance of examining the role of seals and re-reading them in historical research, the author has reviewed twenty-eight seals. Among these are the designs of the seal No. 1 of the Quranic verse, the seals No. 2, 9 and 23 of the names of the Purified Five (Khamsa Tayyiba), the seals No. 5, 8 and 11 of the brief endowment note, the seals No. 3, 16, 17 and 19 women-related ones, and the seal No. 26 the names of the companions of the cave.

    The author has quoted a treatise by Lutfullah Maisi Ameli, a Shia jurist (d. 1032 AH), which he wrote to defend the Shahid Awwal against some of the critiques of two chapters of the book Al-Qawaid wa Al-Fawaid on spiritual purity (taharah) and Salat. This Arabic treatise has been revised based on the only manuscript available in the National Library of Iran. The First Martyr and Maisi Ameli’s biographies and also an explanation for the book Al-Qawaid wa al-Fawaid are included as well.

    The author has quoted one hundred verses of the Persian ode of Mirza Razi Khorasani (11th century AH) in describing the Messenger of God (Peace be upon him and his family) based on the manuscript of his diwan (poetry) available in Tabriz National Library without any explanation. The full text of the ode contains two hundred verses that will be published in the future in the book Pir e Talim (the elder of teaching). A brief biography of the poet is also included.
