With the increasing use of solar energy and its many benefits, the use of this new energy in ships has been considered. One of the ways to increase the reliability of the ship is to have a suitable power in all weather conditions of the sea, and naturally in the photovoltaic system, to maximize the energy that can be received from them per kilowatt of power is installed, because the voltage characteristic Solar cell flow is strongly dependent on radiation and cell temperature. On the other hand, load changes also change the operating point and cause deviation from the maximum power point. Therefore, in various articles, much attention has been paid to maximum power methods in photovoltaic systems. In this paper, a new strategy for tracking the maximum power point by feed-in method is proposed, relying on the capabilities of the neural network to use this energy at sea. The feeder approach prevents noise propagation in the network because it is forward and has no feedback. The previous methods do not have the ability to accurately track the maximum power point in the event of turbulence or sudden changes in sunlight. Solar vessels change abruptly, have applications that improve its performance, and simulation and performance results show that the maximum power is received in this method.

Despite the significant advances achieved in the last decade on improving performance, increasing life and decreasing price of polymer fuel cells, the slow reaction kinetics of reduction of oxygen in the cathode catalyst and the limitation of mass transport are the main challenges in voltage drop and the loss of polymer fuel cell efficiency. Therefore, in the present study, using a novel agglomerate model for the simulation of polymeric membranes combined with a segmented model , the effects of the catalytic layer (loading and thickness) on fuel cell performance have been investigated. The governing equations of the different parts of the fuel cell including cathode, anode and membrane have been solved using a computer code in matlab programming language (MATLAB). The results show that as platinum loading increases, the performance of polymer fuel cells improves. Moreover, increasing the thickness of the catalyst layer leads to a reduction in the performance. In addition, the platinum loading and the thickness of the catalyst layer affect the flow distribution that is in the best design in a particular operation condition with respect to the moisture content inside the channel.

The trimaran is a multi-hull float consisting of a long, slender main body with two smaller side hulls, and a transverse deck connects the side hulls to the main hull. Trimaran vessels have been studied by designers due to their unique configuration, low resistance at high speeds, transverse stability and good navigation. Also, due to the possibility of special location of the equipment due to the existence of a wide transverse deck and as a result of high transport capacity, the owners of the marine industry have paid special attention to it and extensive research has been done on it. Most of these studies focus on the hydrodynamic parameters of this vessel and there are very few comprehensive and reliable studies on the subject of structural fatigue strength. The phenomenon of fatigue in the transverse deck of the Trimaran float is very important due to the special structure and consequently the intensity of the stresses, and therefore the evaluation of fatigue strength in the preliminary design stage of the float is quite critical. In this paper, a Trimaran vessel is designed according to the operational needs of the Navy and is modeled in Mastro software. Using the software wave module, hydrodynamic analysis was performed at different floating speeds and different angles of the wave on the float and the pressure distribution on the hull was obtained. In the next step, this pressure distribution is applied to the floating body in Mastro finite element software and fatigue analysis is analyzed on the transverse deck using the limit analysis module. The results showed that the amount of fatigue damage at the junction of the front of the transverse deck to the main body at zero speed and chest and oblique waves of the chest has the highest amount compared to other points, which decreases with increasing speed. It was also found that the side waves have the least amount of fatigue damage compared to other angles of the wave collision.

This study includes obstacle avoidance plan based on controlling the pitch angle – depth and the use of forward looking sonar for an Autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV). The forward looking sonar with vertical and horizontal scanning capability provides a measure of the distance and height of the obstacle to the guidance system. The guidance system determine the degree of vertical overlap of the obstacle with the sonar view window and using the dynamics of the device in the vertical channel, convert the angle of overlap to the rate of change of depth and thus the safe reference depth to avoid collision. Performing the optimal depth maneuver on the vertical plane leads to significant reduction in deviation from the main path and distance compared to conventional methods for bypassing the obstacle in the horizontal plane. This feature along with simple math makes it more attractive to use for devices with fast-dynamic. The results of the implementation in the context of a six-degree-of freedom model of an AUV indicate the proper performance of the proposed method of obstacle avoidance.

In this study, the huge sea waves and how they were formed were studied. Although there are many foreign studies on the huge waves of the sea, which are addressed in this study, but inside the country is still an almost unknown subject. huge waves are distinct from a tsunami. Tsunami waves are formed on the ocean floor due to earthquakes, and when they reach the shore, they increase in height and cause damage near the shore; While huge waves form in the sea for a moment and are dangerous. The basic physics that make phenomena such as huge waves possible is that different waves can travel at different speeds and can therefore accumulate under certain conditions known as constructor interference. Accumulation of waves by diffraction phenomenon, compression of waves by opposing currents and interaction of wave with current are other reasons that lead to the formation of huge waves. Since about 1997, most leading authors have confirmed the existence of huge waves with the warning that wave models have not been able to predict giant waves, in fact, waves with a significant height (Hs) above 12 meters (39.4 feet). But today, with changes in the parameters of wave models, such as WW3, they are predicting huge sea waves, which need to be addressed comprehensively in the country.

In this study, the physical sensitivity of the Shore Area of "Sistan and Baluchestan" province of Iran was evaluated based on the Environmental sensitivity index . For this purpose, preliminary identification of coastal type using geological maps; also determining wetland areas, mangrove forests, ports and man-made structures had been conducted using Sentinel-2 satellite imagery. Then, by applying wave energy and slope maps in the study area, classification of the shore area was prepared according the ESI mapping codes. The results show that 10 main-ranks and 15 sub-ranks of the NOAA codes are existed in this study area. Among all codes, the rank of 9A and the rank of 3A have the highest length; and the rank of 7 have the lowest length of the shore area. Then the physical sensitivity of the shore area was classified in five classes of very low, low, medium, high and very high sensitivity. So the class of very high sensitivity with an area of 4768 hectares is the greatest zone and the class of medium sensitivity with an area of about 217 hectares is the lowest zone of the study area. Considering the importance of the physical structure of the shore area for health and survival of ecosystems and the existence of inhabitants in the region, recognition of the physical sensitivities and assessment of the other biophysical sensitivity of resources plays an important role in determining the environmental sensitivity and vulnerabilities of the coastal area.

Inertial Navigation System (INS) is one of the navigation systems widely used in various land-based, aerial, and marine applications. Among all types of INS, Microelectromechanical System (MEMS)-based INS can be widely utilized, owing to their low cost, lightweight, and small size. However, due to the manufacturing technology, MEMS-based INS suffers from deterministic and stochastic errors, which increase positioning errors over time. In this paper, a new effective noise reduction method is proposed that can provide more accurate outputs of MEMS-based inertial sensors. The intelligent method in this paper is a combined denoising method that combines Wavelet Transform (WT), Permutation Entropy (PE), Support Vector Regression (SVR), and Genetic Algorithm (GA). Firstly, WT is employed to obtain a time-frequency representation of raw data. Secondly, a four-element feature vector is formed. These four features are (1) amplitude of frequency, (2) its ratio to mean of amplitudes of all frequencies, (3) location of frequency in time-frequency representation, and (4) judgment on behaviors of frequency that is obtained by utilizing PE. Thirdly, based on the feature vector, the GA-SVR algorithm predicts amplitudes of all frequencies in the time-frequency representation of the denoised signal. Finally, by employing inverse WT the denoised signal is obtained. In this work, the outputs of the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) in ADIS16407 sensor, as a low-cost and MEMS-based INS, have been utilized for data collection. The proposed method has been compared with other noise reduction methods and the achieved results verify superior improvement than other methods.
