The present study aims to design and validate integrated pattern of curriculum patterns and aesthetics training in higher education system. The ultimate goal is to find aesthetics components, which can be used along with other curriculum components originated from humanities in the university curriculum. The present research was conducted using a mixed method of exploratory type in particular qualitative-quantitative. Statistical population of the quantitative and qualitative sections involved state universities of Khoozestan province. Considering the participants’ experiences, attitudes and comprehension, qualitative research method (data-based theory strategy developed by Strauss and Corbin) was used in the first section. Correlation method was used in qualitative section, considering integration and correlation among the components and validation of the underlying pattern. The data were analyzed with the aid of MAXQAD qualitative analysis software based on Strauss and Corbin systematic problem solution in three stages of open, axial and selective coding. Moreover, Delfi’s method was used for unanimity of a group of experts in order to develop the main model of the present research study. The components obtained were used in developing the proposed pattern. Findings of the study indicated that art and aesthetics, as the two worldviews in curriculum, involve various components and inspirations. These components can be employed with focus on important components of curriculum design such as objectives, content, method and evaluation of design, development and implementation of curricula.  Finally, the conceptual pattern was recognized valid by experts of curriculum design at Khoozestan province university and the necessary corrections suggested by them were used in the proposed pattern.

The aim of this study was to design a problem-solving curriculum model for preschool children and validating it. In this study, a mixed exploratory approach (qualitative-quantitative) was used. In the qualitative part, the population included curriculum specialists, educational psychologists and preschool teachers, and new domestic and foreign theoretical foundations. Based on the criterion sampling method, 13 sources were studied and for the interview, the purposeful snowball sampling method was used and finally the sample size was considered to reach theoretical saturation (36 people). In the quantitative part, the statistical population included curriculum specialists, educational psychologists, and preschool educators. The sample size was determined based on Cochran's formula of 357 people and proportional block random sampling method was used. Data were collected in the qualitative part through semi-structured in-depth interviews and in the quantitative part through a researcher-made questionnaire. Qualitative findings were obtained by content analysis and Max QDA software. The findings of the qualitative section represent a comprehensive theme, organizing themes at two levels, the first of which includes the nine elements of the curriculum (aims, content, teaching method, learning activity, teaching materials, space, time, grouping, evaluation) and the second level includes the characteristics of each of these elements. Each of the second level organizing themes also has a number of basic themes. To validate this model, factor analysis and structural equations were used in Smart PLS3 software

The purpose of this study was to model the structural equations of the relationship between school environment perceptions and self-regulated learning strategies with academic seriousness and the mediating role of school enthusiasm. The study was a correlational research whose population included 2,200 third-grade male secondary school students in Bojnourd, who studied in Bojnourd during the academic year of 2016-2017. A sample of 327 people was selected by stratified random sampling method based on Morgan table. The subjects responded to Genry et al.’s Students' Perceptions of Classroom Activities (2002), de Groot’s self-regulated learning strategies, Wong and Schole's school enthusiasm questionnaire (2011), and a researcher-made questionnaire on educational seriousness. Using Cronbach's alpha, the reliability of these questionnaires was 0.81, 0.89, 0.83 and 0.76, respectively; also the validity of the questionnaires was approved by the thesis supervisor. Data were analyzed by SPSS software running multiple regression; also structural analysis method was performed using LISREL software. The findings indicated that school environment perceptions and self-regulated learning strategies had a significant relationship with academic seriousness. At the same time, school enthusiasm was able to mediate the relationship between school environment perceptions and self-regulated learning strategies. Because the school enthusiasm plays a mediating role between school environment perceptions and self-regulated learning strategies, academic achievement can be enhanced by reinforcing it.Keywords: Motivational Beliefs, Academic Achievement, Metacognitive Learning Environment

Reading comprehension is a fundamental language skill for many EFL learners. This study was conducted to compare Iranian male and female EFL learners' tripartite reading strategy use, Problem Solving Reading Strategies (PSRSs), Global Reading Strategies (GRSs), and Support Reading strategies (SRSs), and their relationship to their reading comprehension. To serve the purpose, 80 undergraduate EFL learners, 40 females and 40 males, majoring in English Language Teaching (ELT) and English Translation (ET) at Islamic Azad University-Tabriz were selected randomly. The research variables were measured based on the participants’ performance on the reading section of the PET test and the Metacognitive Awareness of Reading Strategy Inventory (MARSI) (Mokhtari & Reichard, 2002). The research data were analysed through Independent Samples T-test and a Standard Multiple Regression (MR) analysis. The results revealed significant differences between male and female participants in terms of their reading comprehension and perceived use of PSRSs. It was also exhibited that for male participants, only SRSs were the statistically significant predictor of males’ reading comprehension while for females it was the PSRSs that made significant contribution to explain reading comprehension. The gender variation in reading comprehension, reading strategies and the correlational pattern between these two variables exists. Such variations have to be addressed in the process of teaching and suggestions will be made as how teacher trainers, syllabus designers, and individual university students majoring in English Language Teaching (ELT) and English Translation (ET) can apply the findings to promote their outcome.
