    The manuscripts and the information contained in them، including the possession notes، the hearings، the end notes، and any other information recorded there in them، are among the valuable sources for studying the Shia history. Studying such information can also help in research on some chief Shia areas where very little written information about their history is available. Through examining a number of manuscripts focusing on the ancient Bahrain region، this article provides us with information about the scholars and libraries there. Also، the biography of the unknown scholar of Behbahan، Abd al-Rahim bin Ramezan Qanawati Behbahani، has been discussed in detail by reviewing a number of manuscripts written by or belonging to him.

  • Sa’eed Khodda’ri Na’ini Pages 55-66

    This article reports a booklet that contains the total sum and expenses related to the construction of the Sepahsalar Mosque in Tehran during 1299 to 1304 A.H. The author re-read the booklet which is handwritten in cursive nastaliq script and its numbers are in Syaq script، and included it in his article. The wages paid for each part of the mosque such as inscriptions made in different parts of the mosque by Mirza Gholam-Reza Esfahani، Abbas-Qoli Khoshnevis and Mirza Amo، as well as how to write words and phrases along with illustrative images are mentioned in the article.

    This article gives a short biography of Afzal al-Din Hasan ibn Ali Mahabadi 505-595 A.H.)، a 6th century Shia scholar، who was born in Mahabad، a) suburb of Ardestan، Isfahan. After introducing a few old and new figures of Mahabad، the author identifies Mahabadi's grandfather and father، and then shows the stages of his education in Kashan، Qom، and Rey، his students، scientific scope، and contemporary and companionable figures. It continues by introducing his written works in the fields of hadith، literature، and theology، such as a Commentary on Nahj al-Balagha، Sharh al-Shahab، Tanzih al-Haq an Shubahi al-Khalq (Pyrifying the right from the objections and doubts)، Sharh al-Luma’، and reading the famous namesakes and mentioning what the great scholars have said about him.

    The published works of Azizullah Atarudi Quchani (1307-1393 S.H.)، including authored books، translations، corrections of texts، the collection of the Infallible Imams (Peace be upon them)’ Musnads (documented hadiths)، and memoranda related to him، are listed in this article. There are 24 authored books، 7 translated works، 14 text correction works، and 14 as well as illustrated bibliographical reports on a few books here in this article. At the end، 4 books written in honor and memorandum of the late Atarudi are introduced.

    In 1374 and 1379 A.H.، Ayatollah Seyyed Shahab ud-Din Marashi Najafi A.H. endowed 74 manuscripts dedicated to Imam Amir al-Mu'minin (peace be upon him) Library in Najaf، which are introduced in this article. Among these books، there are scripts handwritten by their author، such as Tabsira tu al-Qada (the commentary of the judiciary) written by Mahmoud ibn Mohsen Kashani and Ma'aden al-Kalam (sources of speech) written by Mohammad- Mehdi Saravi، copies of the author's handwriting، such as Kitab al-Salat (the book of prayers) written by Sheikh Mortaza Ansari، and exquisite scripts such as the Qawa’id al-Ahkam by Allameh Hilli written in 827 A.H.، Al- Jumal wa Al-Uqud by Sheikh Tusi written in 828 A.H.، Jame’ Abbasi by Sheikh Bahai written in 1054 A.H. with comments by Ibn Khatun Amili، and several corrected and edited versions of the book al-Kafi can be seen

    The biography of Seyyed Mohammad Baqir Dorche’i Isfahani، a Shia jurist 1264-1342 A.H.) based on the reports of biographers، an inventory of his 14) teachers and 103 students along with the biographies of some of them، and a detailed introduction of the book Mizan al-Fiqahah is included in the article. The author has provided a detailed list of the contents of the 26 volumes of this book، which is a collection of writings related to Shia jurisprudence، as well as a list of his unpublished works on the principles of jurisprudence.

    This article introduces the book Travel to the South of Iran، a travelogue by Albert Houtum-Schindler (1846-1914 AD) on his journey to the south of Iran. The original book is in German and was published in 1879. It contains Schindler's notes from his observations in the Persian cities. He was recruited by the Persian Qajari king، Naser al-Din Shah، to install telegraph wires from Tehran to Bushehr. He recorded the names of prominent figures، clans and tribes، villages، cities، and historical places very precisely. Here the Persian translation of this book is codicologically and bibliographically reviewed

    Among the manuscripts، there are short poetries on ritual literature and religious eulogy. Many of these poems alone do not fit into an independent study. Therefore، it is not usually given the attention and care of manuscripts 310 فصلنامه تخصصی کتابشناسی و نسخ هشناسی سال بیست و هشتم / شماره 108 / تابستان 1401 restorers. Obviously، these texts are very worthy of attention and critical scientific reviews. One of these small poems about "The miracle of Imam Muhammad at-Taqi (Peace be upon him) and his wedding" is addressed in this article. The only known copy of this poem is preserved in the Ayatollah Marashi Najafi Library. The composer of this poem which is in 437 rhyming couplets is unknown. The themes included in this Masnavi are historical issues، on one hand، and Shia theology and imamate of Imam Javad (Peace be upon him) on the other. In addition، inclusion of the customs، relations within the court of the ruler and various celebrations and ceremonies in this poem can express the social attitudes or reflection of the social situations of the composer's era.

    Tazkira al-Khatatatin is a Persian poetry in 850 verses by Mohammad Idris Khajeh Rouhi Bukhari (1298-1336 A.H.) on the biography of calligraphers، which is included in this article along with the correction of its manuscript. The space and time the treatise was written in Bukhara، a brief introduction of the content and its manuscripts، and the introduction of the calligraphers mentioned in the treatise in alphabetical order are the information provided in this article.
