Assessing the improvement and renovation projects with a tourism approach (Case Study: Yazd)Page 2
Urban population growth and widespread environmental changes and concrete landscapes have driven many elements of the metropolis closer to exhaustion. This changed the appearance and body of the city, causing the erosion of urban space and urban activities. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the improvement and renovation projects in Yazd city with tourism approach. This study uses observations and literature research of Yazd city, collection of information and statistics, review and evaluation of improvement and modernization plans, and interviews and questions from relevant experts and residents living in Yazd. The area investigated in this study is the city of Yazd, where there are over 4,000 hectares of used textiles in Yazd province, of which about 2,600 hectares are located in the historical city of Yazd, and the rest in the historical Neighboring city of Yazd. The main problem of the quality of life in these areas is the lack of social dignity in other urban areas, although the extent of benefiting these areas from urban services is comparable to other city centers. Also, in urban services, the worn-out fabric is the wear and tear of facilities, especially the accesses, because in the network of connecting roads, the worn-out fabric of the roads must communicate with other urban areas and is important for tourism in this city. These axes are well-suited in a dynamic environment, catering to the needs of tourists visiting the city. Yazd city's strong points, such as the abundance of historical and tourism elements, its central and accessible location, the promotion of culture through its historic neighborhoods, and its potential for development, contribute to its appeal for tourists. Consequently, these factors generate a wide range of uses that cater to the preferences and requirements of incoming tourists to the city.

Today, technology is not limited to watches and smart phones; rather, things like achieving smart cities and governments are among the most challenging research topics, in such a way that some researchers believe that in the not-so-distant future, the richest and most powerful countries will be the countries that have taken this path before others. Considering the importance of smart cities in our country, in this research, we investigated and expressed the physical-spatial indicators of the smart city for the city of Torbat-e Heydarieh using the hierarchical decision-making method of AHP. After examining the questionnaire by experts and experts, it was determined that the criteria were the most important criteria for conducting the research. Finally, after the processing done using the AHP model, the layers were weighted and after fuzzing and overlaying the layers, the final map was determined to reach the city of Torbat-e Heydarieh as a smart city. The results showed Torbat-e Heydarieh's ability to become a smart city. According to the map obtained in Figure (3), it was found that parts of the central areas, parts of the south and parts of the north of the city have a higher talent than other parts to achieve this goal, i.e. a smart city.

Taftan is a semi-active volcano located in southeast Iran with many craters. The main objective of this study is to investigate whether subsidence or uplift in Taftan Peak. 58 Sentinel 1-A images acquired from January 2015 to December 2020 in the ascending orbit mode, and 102 Sentinel 1-A Sentinel 1-B images acquired from October 2014 to June 2020 in the descending orbit mode were preprocessed for this purpose. The interferograms with the permanent scatterer interferometry (PSI) method were created using SARPROZ and StaMPS softwares, in which atmospheric corrections were made automatically, and then the surface displacement of Taftan volcano estimated. The Line of Sight (LOS) displacement corresponding to the uplift was 0.5 mm to 1 mm yr-1 for the ascending orbit and 1 mm yr-1for the descending orbit. Because no GPS station was close to Taftan volcano, the GPS measurements of one station located in the study area (Saravan station) was used to check the accuracy of PSI method. The GPS station of SARAVAN has situated inside the town ,and it is appropriate to use and analyze PSI technique in this station. As a result, the researchers found that the PSI method is in accordance with the GPS data.

During capturing and transmitting images in IoT devices, recorder media have some physical constraints that make them prone to noise. Noise shows itself in the form of signal disturbances that result in the inhibition in observation, analysis, and evaluation of the image. Various image denoising algorithms have been proposed so far in order to remove noise from the degraded image. In particular, application of soft computing methods such as utilizing deep neural networks on digital images as an approach with better results has recently been considered. With regard to the importance of accurate and noise-free storage of images taken from surveillance cameras in spatial systems of water and wastewater industry, this paper describes some key concepts. After that, an additive noise is utilized on the original image captured by surveillance cameras. Then, two approaches, the Wiener filter and a deep neural network method called DnCNN are being compared for the denoising purpose. Results showed that the deep neural network led to better performance than the Wiener filter in terms of PSNR measure.

Urban growth pattern classification comprises three types of expansion, namely horizontal or scattered expansion, intensive growth, and smart growth. This study is a practical investigation focusing on the development and assessment of the physical transformations occurring in Yazd City. The research has utilized multi-temporal Landsat satellite images from 1996, 2016, and Ester satellite 2006. The supervised classification method with the most similarity has been employed to analyse the levels of green space, urban built space, road, and barren land and track their changes. The study revealed that the size of the city did not change between 1996 and 2016, but the population density increased. However, during the same period, there was a significant 43.6% reduction in the amount of green space. According to the graph, there has been a consistent rise in urban development from 1996 to 2016. Throughout the duration of the construction period, there has been a 1.65-fold expansion in the urban area, leading to a reduction of 32% in the barren land within Yazd city. The collective evidence of modifications in Yazd city, both in terms of physical alterations and spatial expansion, indicates that the utilization of barren land within the urban setting and the elimination of gardens and reduction in green areas have led to an increase in urban spaces by a factor of 1.65.
