The event of Karbala, because of its special place throughout Islamic history, has attracted the attention of many historians. But over time with the expansion of mourning ceremonies, influenced by social and political situations, different perceptions of this event or more focus on some of its aspects have resulted. One of the most important and most famous dimensions of Ashoora is its mournful dimension with regard to the presence of children and teenagers in the Karbala event. The importance of this dimension is such that rereading this event without taking its mournful dimension into account makes the narration of Ashoora uninteresting, dull, and emotionless. However due to numerous factors, with the passing of time this dimension has become the most prevalent and dominant reading in shiite mournful ceremonies. So, in this thesis besides the analysis of Taziya texts and using comparative approach, the image of Abdollah ibn Jafar has been compared with contemporary Taziyas using historical approach. Based on this method it has been revealed that due to the using merely emotional attitudes, taziyas, in comparison with historical resources, have provided a different image of children and adolescents of Karbala.
