But in the recent centuries they have miserably declined and without any doubt the most important factor behind such a stagnancy and regression are their distance from Islamic life-giving instructions and spread of alienation amongst the Muslim community [Ummah]. The issue of usurping Fadak has been one of the most important and effective political issues in the early history of Islam. It enjoyed an economic significance as well. This topic can be analyzed from different perspectives and if the truth get explained properly the peripheral issues will also become clear. The writer has proved that Fadak [territory] was forcefully usurped by caliphs on the basis of Quranic verses, [prophetic] traditions and historical documents and could substantiate that it was of those personal properties of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH and his progeny) which he donated to his daughter Fatima (a.s) during his lifetime. The writer believes that the traditions which are transmitted by the Sunnites and claim that the prophets leave nothing as heritage suffer scientific standards and are refuted.
