In this thesis, phase behavior of natural gas hydrate formation in the presence of promoter was studied. The previous predictive model of hydrate formation in the presence of promoter i.e. surfactant, Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate (SDS) was modified. The modeling of the hydrate formation condition for systems that contain promoter, has been attempted in two steps: 1- Promoter is treated as an organic solute in water and effect of presence of SDS, Water ctivity coefficient for SDS- natural gas system has been determined. 2- The effect of self-aggregation phenomenon of the SDS (that differ from each other) on the chemical potential of water, is determined. The results of model for pure gases system, system with Surfactant have been compared with experimental data from articles and are showed good agreement with them.
