The present article analyzes the relation between crime occurrence and feeling of security in the women residing in district 1 17 of Tehran Municipality. Feeling of security is a kind of positive mentality and orientation (satisfactory, convincible and pacifying) of citizens toward non-implication, presence and occurrence of anti-security events in present and future situations. In order to elaborate on the subject, the article has used feministic opinions so that it could to be able to show the role and share of structural and macro-variables in the feeling of security in women and their status in the general structure of the society. The feminists believe that structural and hideous violence against women would drive them to privatized settings and that fear of victimization in public settings serves as an obstacle in the way of equality and sameness of relations between men and women. Therefore, the most important hypothesis of the present research is: There is a significant relation between the crimes occurred at the living places of women and their feeling of security. The research has used a survey method on 1 152 plus-18 women in district 1 17 of Tehran municipality and designed a questionnaire to examine the main hypothesis by using multi-variable regression statistical methods. According to the findings of the research most women feel insecure toward violent crimes and corruption and the source of insecurity reaches its peak when they are alone at home at night. The second variable involved in creating the serious insecurity is taking taxis at night time.

The belief that there is no place for women in the police force has been common for years. Women have been considered as the weaker sex and some people believe that their characteristics do not exactly match with the condition of a brave police officer. Today, the Slovenian police force has employed 613 women police officers. The present research would attempt to examine the issue as to whether women would be accepted in their workplace. Would they be granted equal opportunities to perform their duty and job as compared with their male colleagues? Part of this article deals with a historical review concerning the presence of women police officers in the police force, the process of their education, their challenges and ways to cope with issues relevant to gender by these women. The second part offers the results of a research based on interviews with policewomen. By means of analysis of their responses we would try to determine whether they are satisfied with their workplace. The survey has been mainly focused on women’s relations with their male colleagues and seniors. We were enthusiastic to discover in this article whether the viewpoint has changed toward a women in uniform and if yes to what extent. The research also seeks to define the reasons that encourage women to join the police force and to assess the support given to them by people at the time of recruitment. The conclusion showed that the stance of women in the police force is not much considerable as some try to portray. Conversely, police officers are satisfied with their job and occupational and professional relations. Nevertheless, we should not overlook their status and think that there is no hope for their promotion and that the present situation is ideal. There are rooms for change and improvements and the biggest potential to make changes rest with police managers.

The present research aims at analyzing the role of social asset of the policewomen in their career’s success. Based on theoretical discussions the article has compiled four hypotheses and gathered necessary data through a survey and a questionnaire given to 89 policewomen with children who were studying at the policewomen educational complex in the first semester of the academic year 2 2009-2010 on a full-count basis. The results revealed that the career success and social asset of policewomen is at a medium level. On the other hand the women who leave their children with their relatives are more convenient at the workplace as compared with those who keep their children at home or day nurseries. Examination of the hypotheses confirmed the hypothesis of the relation between social asset and career’s success and the sub-hypotheses, and between communication network and mutual cooperation and career’s success while the relation between children and career’s success is confirmed on a converse basis. Therefore, it is suggested that the organization should make efforts toward promoting the social asset of the policewomen.
