Capital Assets Pricing Model is used as a tool for the estimation of Investments in Capital Markets with the relation of Expected return and Risk on Securities. This study examines the applicability of CAPM on Pakistan Stock Markets and Karachi Stock Exchange being the main capital market of Pakistan is taken for the study. The analysis is done by taking a sample of 10 performing companies of 100 index of KSE for a period of five years from 2006 to 2010. The monthly returns are taken and beta of each security is calculated which is used in the calculation of Expected returns. Microsoft Office (MS Excel) is used for most of the calculations. The empirical findings of this study do not support to the CAPM in Pakistan Stock Markets. In all three types of beta, it gives different results. The results of this study are in line with the previous researches conducted on Pakistan Stock markets but with different time periods and different sample size.

The color images raise the level of educational by providing more detailed information; therefore, these images are believed to be effective in gaining a deeper understanding of the lessons. Moreover, Proper lighting enhances students’ learning and performance. This study aimed at assessing the impact of training color and light materials on elementary school girls’ attention and learning in Persian language lessons. This type of research was the semi-experimental design in which pre-test - post-test were administered on two independent experimental and control groups. The data collection was done through random cluster sampling. To collect the required samples two primary first-grade classes were used. Experimental groups were under the influence of experimental materials and tools for color and light and control group influenced by materials and tools for Black and White and no special lighting. The test was administered in 12 sessions for each group. The following data collection tools were applied in this study: Research test (to determine students’ learning process) Attention test (to determine students’ learning attention) The collected data were analyzed by covariance statistical tests. The scores obtained by students in the learning and attention tests were used to assessed their learning and attention The statistical analysis of data confirmed both the research hypotheses (α = 0.5) as statistical results showed that: The effect of light and color would increase students’ attention (the experimental group gained higher average scores) The effect of light and color would enhance students’ learning (the experimental group gained higher average scores) It is believed that further research on the effect of color and light training materials on students’ attention and learning will significantly improve the quality of teaching practices.

The research is set to examine Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strikes and academic performance of students in Ekiti State University (EKSU) Ado-Ekiti. The research employed multistage sampling technique to select the faculties and the departments from where six hundred and four (604) respondents were selected, questionnaires and interviews were employed to draw information from respondents. The findings showed that the incessant strikes action by ASUU in Nigeria have disrupted the academic calendar of Universities and this has affected students’ academic pursuit and performance, 71.2% of the respondents have experienced ASUU strikes and 51.6% admitted that ASUU strikes have had negative influence on their academics. Almost sixty percent [59.5%] believed that government can find a lasting solution to the problems of ASUU strikes through prompt and rewarding dialogue that grants the request of ASUU timely. The study suggests and recommends that university students should engage themselves in tutorial classes or self-study during the strike action to keep them abreast with academics at resumption, their parents or guardians should ensure that they encourage students engagement in academic activities rather than domestic chores while the strike last, the members and the executives of ASUU should employ other industrial dispute strategies to express their grievances rather than embark on indefinite strike action which obviously paralyses student’s academics. The Nigerian Government should also employ the method of prompt dialogue and grant the requests of ASUU in time to prevent erosion and total breakdown of the educational sector.

A strategy that integrates an organization''s marketing goals into a cohesive whole, ideally drawn from market research, focuses on the ideal product mix in order to achieve maximum profit potential; the marketing strategy is set out as a marketing plan, a good idea, method, information, object, or service that is the end result of a process and serves as a need or want satisfier. It is usually a bundle of tangible and intangible attributes (benefits, features, functions, uses) that a seller offers to a buyer for purchase. Unlike the business’s variable costs, the fixed costs are not directly related to the creation of the products and services. Fixed costs are the costs incurred as a result of operating the business, such as overhead expenses, depreciation, rent, insurance and taxes. In the present study calculation has been done by assigning different parameter to any organization and finding Break-Even analysis by the use of Matlab Programming (simulation).

This study analyses the relationship of intellectual capital with financial performance measures of Indian textile sector for a period of 10 years ranging from 2002 to 2012. For the study, corporate annual reports, especially the profit and loss accounts and balance sheets of the selected companies for the relevant years have been used from CMIE prowess database. Value Added Intellectual Coefficient (VAIC) method is applied for measuring the intellectual capital of the companies. For analyzing any existing relationship between variables, correlation and OLS regression is used in this study. It has been observed that intellectual capital in textile sector has significant positive relationship only with profitability of the companies. The empirical analysis found that physical capital (VACA) was the one which was seen to have major impact on the profitability of the firms over the period of study. Results indicate that Indian investors consider only financial disclosure of the companies regarding their investment decision. The study provides useful knowledge to the researchers and managers regarding intellectual capital disclosure and its relation with financial performance.

This paper divulges the long term relationship among earning, investment and dividends from 2000 to 2011. Empirical evidence was collected to explore the Modigliani and miller theory of dividend irrelevance. Data was collected from all the sectors but it was ensured that firms did not have negative data of earnings as it is earnings which are either transformed into investment or dividends. Multivariate and bivariate cointegration is used to examine the data. Johansen and Juselius multivariate cointegration disclosed the presence of long term relationship among earning, investment and dividends. The traditional view regarding the dividend irrelevance theorem is rejected by this research and results show that dividend and investment are dependent on each other.
