    Advancements in various organizations (military and non-military) are primarily realized in the light of competent and innovative human resources, which justify further attention concentrated on the efficiency of training courses and empowering human resources and the emphasis put on the true role and significance of training and development of human resources in the course of organization of developments. In this line, this study is a report of a research which offers an appropriate approach as far as the efficiency of in-service training courses in the Iranian military context are concerned. To do so, first a review of the related literature along with the respective assessment approaches of the subject is made. Then, the respective conclusion and implications drawn from the analysis of the collected data are offered.

    All parents care about both mind and body of their children. The rational use of leisure time is of crucial significance which necessitates careful planning. This study then is an attempt to investigate the effects of family characteristics on the way the children spend their free time in armyowned residential complexes. The findings of the study sustain the fact that there is a positive correlation among the variables such as family income, their educational level, number of the children and the way both parents and children take the advantages of their free time.

    This study is an attempt to report the findings of an experimental and filed study on the innovation and intelligence as two outstanding traits of humans being. Contrary to their great significance in accounting for the behavior and personality of man and various speculations on them, the nature of these traits still remain unknown and there are a lot of controversies among psychologists and educationalists as far as the measurement and identification of them are concerned. Then, here it is tried to cast some light on these traits on the basis of various speculations, approaches as well as the research studies offered and conducted so far, respectively.

    This study addresses the impacts of noise pollution emanating from military operations and maneuvers specially those of heavy artillery, macro and micro explosions, noise of helicopters and trucks on environment in terms of acoustic, biological and physiological aspects. They are assumed to impose varying effects on man compared to environment to the extent that the latter one is doomed to experience lose of life in various areas. In this study the sound of certain weaponries are displayed on the basis of decibel measures and the impacts of noise from military and non-military weaponries are compared. People's attitudes towards the annoyance resulting from the use of military weaponries are investigated. The findings support the fact that these negative effects lead to immigration, hearing ability, reduction in birth rate and some other physiological problems along with frustration and domestication of environment.

    Commanders’ Characters are combination of characteristics and features, which are demonstrated in their thoughts and actions. Army commanders’ behaviors and actions can be described through “roles theory”. In roles framework, effort is made to evaluate the role of commanders and their relation with subordinates. Based on “roles theory” framework, this article has attempted to study the imperative features of commanders and explain their influence on army capability. The results show that one of the most important behavioral characteristics of Army commanders, which increases the chance of their success in performing the roles and tasks is commitment to religious beliefs and being steadfast to cultural and national values. Commander’s bravery is one of the other commander’s features. Bravery means being stronger and not to fear of anything. A timid Commander is doomed to defeat. He must rely on God power and believe in his success.Commander’s interest in his job and working attraction in the Army enhances his feeling of responsibility and this, in it’s own turn, creates organizational authority.The other imperative features of a commander are as follow: Obeying superior orders, establishing logical obligation among subordinates and flexibility. The commander flexibility provides the possible use of capable individuals’ abilities and capabilities. Whenever aforementioned characteristics are demonstrated in commander’s personality, commander popularity along with seriousness in role performance develops and subordinates accept the commander from their heart and fulfill his orders. The commanders’ popularity and acceptability bring about Army capability and power.
