Designing a Questionnaire on Attracting Students to Prayer and Reviewing Its Psychometric Features

The present paper is concerned with how to designing a means for evaluating the contributing factors for attracting students to congregational prayer. In a survey research in which 752 male and female high school students in Ardabil Province for the academic year of 1389-1390 (2010-2011) were participated, students were asked to complete a questionnaire for attracting students to congregational prayer. The results of an exploratory factor analysis show that this questionnaire, which is based on 60/62 percent of total variance, has five basic factors: "educational physical and communicative atmosphere", "individual and family religious behavior and faith ", "etiquette of performing congregational prayer" social environment", and "stimulation". A review of its reliability and validity shows that all of the five extracted factors have high and significant correlation with the each other and with the total score of questionnaire (p<0/001). Meanwhile, the coefficient of Cronbach alpha for the whole questionnaire was 0/94. The evaluation of this questionnaire shows that this questionnaire has desired and correlated basic factors for assessing the contributing factors for attracting students to congregational prayers.
