The relationship between Father perceived educational styles and high risk behaviors

Abstract:
The aim of the present research was to consider the relationship between father perceived educational styles and high risk behaviors. The research samples contain 182 students of Tehran University (93 male and 89 female) with average age of 21in 2009-2010, and were students of graduate and postgraduate courses whom were selected by culture multistage random sampling method. Risky behavior questionnaire (2007 version) perception of parental scale (POPS) scale were applied to collect required information. The Finding of the research reveals that some subscales of the risky behavior have a significant negative relationship with that of father perceived educated methods. The Pierson Correlation Cofficeint showd that there is anegative significant relation ship hetween most of risky behavior sub-Scales and those of fother warmth. Step by step Regression analysis showed that the father warmth variable is highly effective in prediction of behaviors such as: challenge, drug abuse. The findings of the research reveal that father perceived educational styles as an effectiveness factor in high risk behaviors student also family communications had important effect in risk taking behaviors.
