The Effect of Globalization on Educational System: A Comparative Study on UK, Japan and the US.

Abstract:
One of the central issues of educational systems at the global era is the use of information technologies. This research surveys the effect of globalization of educational systems and seeks to answer two questions: what are the effects of globalization on the educational system of UK, Japan and the US? and what forms of educational reforms and information technology implementations are used in these countries to deal with the problem? The research is conducted through a literature review. The research findings indicate that these developed countries treat globalization not as threat but as an opportunity. Historical records reveal that they have always been forerunners of global changes. These changes have their root in renaissance and industrial revolution and are achieving their maturity in contemporary era. The changes have caused a reform and innovation in many different spheres including economy, industry, politics, society, culture, as well as education. Through constant talks and negotiations, these countries always endeavor to achieve a homogenous and united global policy and make the other counties follow them.
