The Role of Social Capital in Facilitating Knowledge Base Police Practices

n the knowledge-based era, knowledge management (KM) is considered as the primary task of organizations that strive to utilize of these potential and valuable intellectual capitals effectively. So, it is vital to understand carefully the appropriate contexts and boosters of knowledge management. Nowadays, one of the most important organizations in every day life is police organizations. According to the crucial role of these organizations in modern societies, it is necessary to study key elements of their function. Human- social infrastructur is the most influential factor that can affect on knowledge management practices effectively. This article tries to explore the effects of the social capital on the effectiveness of knowledge management on knowledge base police practices. It will investigate the way in which this organizational asset can enforce various behaviors required for implementing KM to work effectively in police organizations. Materials and methods in this study are based on data collections and survey- descriptive methods. The population of the research consists of all police officers who well informed of KM practices, which a total of 265 individuals have been selected by using random sampling method. The research instrument in this study was questionnaire. The research findings show that social capital by influence on creation terms of equation and composition will facilitate the development of social capital, creation and knowledge sharing as well. So, police organizations can optimizate requirements for KM by trust reinforcement, networks, constructive norms and mutual obligations between members.
