Validity and Reliability Evaluation of a Questionnaire on Justice Sport Dimensions

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the validity and reliability of a questionnaire, as a means of measuring the various aspects of sport justice dimensions among young sportsmen. Regarding the literature, a questionnaire including 34 queries was proposed to measure various dimensions of sport justice. A random sample of 304 sportsmen students was selected from 7 Iranian universities around the country. They were members of different sports teams consisting of 106 soccer players, 79 volleyball players, 62 wrestlers, and 57 taekwondo players. The validity of the proposed questionnaire was evaluated by means of both internal consistency (using CVR =Content Validity Ratio) and construct validity (using analytical discovery and approval factors). In addition, the reliability of the questionnaire was assessed by means of internal consistency (using Cronbach's alpha). All the statistical procedures were performed by SPSS and AMOS (version 16). The results showed the CRV values were above 0.7 for each query. Furthermore, the analytical factor results indicated 4 dimensions of justice (i.e., distributive, procedural, intercourse, and righteous) with a 0.47 variance and 94% Kaser-Meyer-Olkin index. These factors were also proven by analyzing the approval factor (P = 0.068). Cronbach's alpha was 0.92, indicating the reliability of the questionnaire. Therefore, it can be applied in similar studies.
