Dimensions and Characteristics of Iran Police Quality Management and Organization Excellence (IPQM)

Quality and organization excellence are critical dimensions for promotion of any organization. Attention to it leads to continuons improvement in quality and also excellence targets are pursued. In this article in addition to reminding the necessity of attention to quality and excellence in Iran police service، the designed excellence model in Iran police (MAKNA) is introduced. Also the perceived elements in model، MAKNA auditing levels and the model characteristics are discussed and studied. Then a cross sectional comparison with some organization excellence and quality management models are done and the compared results are displayed. 65% of the countries under study of this article have used ISO 9000 as quality management model and 30% have used the EFQM as model. None of police under study have designed a local model. Also the study results indicated that MAKNA model in 30% is similar to standard ISO 9000 and in 26% is influenced by European model of EFQM and 44% of its characteristics are unique. Therefore regarding the unique characteristics of MAKNA model، its execution can transform organization and improve quality level in police services.
