The methodological foundations of the Quran in empirical sciences and its effects on the Muslim scholars

Message:
Abstract:
The writer of the research maintains that we can deduce a [scientific] method from the Quran and apply it in research of other sciences. He has tried to deal with some of the foundations of the Qurʾānic method in research of the empirical sciences. The foundations he has studied in his paper are as follows: founding the empirical sciences on monotheist worldview, the gradual evolution of human’s scientific cognition and employment of inductive method in discovery of phenomena which includes observation, examination and forming hypotheses. The Muslim scholars were seriously overwhelmed by the Qurʾānic method during the rise of Islamic civilization where they had applied the very methods of observation, examination and formation of hypotheses that resulted in growth of many sciences. The present writing touches the tremendous contributions Muslim scholars [being under the impression of the Qurʾānic method] have had in the development of sciences such as astronomy, optics and chemistry.
