A Study of the Persian Poetic Movement of "Moj-E Nab" from the Beginning up to End

Message:
Abstract:
Moj-e Nab is a trend in Persian Poetry which has stemmed from the so-called poetry of "Moj-e no". Moj-e Nab is an approach characterized to be non-committed, local, prose-oriented, momentary and compact with a formal and imaginary style. It began three decades ago (the 1970s) with efforts made by Manouchehr Atashi in Tamashe Journal. Primary founders of this poetic movement were five young poets: Seyed Ali Salehi, Hormuz Alipour, Arya Aryapor, Yar-Mohammad Asadpour and Sirous Radmanesh. The movement was born in the oil city of Masjid Soleyman in Southwest Iran. It was received first by journals such as Tamasha and Bonyad, and later spread throughout Iran. Two important and determining events in Iran, the Islamic Revolution and the Imposed War, on one hand, and the loss of its media base, on the other hand, resulted in its gradual expiration. The poets of Moj-e Nab, then, turned to other trends (in the 1980s).
