Comparison study of epidural by lidocaine, tramadol, and combinations in rabbit

The aim of this research is comparison study of epidural by lidocaine، tramadol، and combinations in rabbit as a model for further research on methods of epidural anesthesia in humans. By experimental study 12 New Zealand white rabbits were divided into 3 groups of 4. In the first experimental group (L) used 4 mg / kg lidocaine 2%، for the second group (T) used 4/4 mg / kg tramadol and in third group (TL) the combination of lidocaine (2 mg / kg) and Tramadol (2/2 mg / kg) was used. Sensory block، motor block، heart rate، respiratory rate and rectal temperature، 10 min before injection and at intervals of 10 minutes to 90 minutes after injection was measured. Spss statistical analysis software and paired sample t-test used and significance level (p <0/05) were considered. Based on survey results in delayed onset of numbness and immobility of the drug tramadol (min 3 ± 0/3) significant increase in the lidocaine group - tramadol (min 1/25 ± 0/5) and lidocaine (1 min) was found (P <0/05). Also، the duration of numbness and immobility in tramadol group (min 5/2 ± 7/13) was most significantly reduced compared to the lidocaine - Tramadol (min 1/14 ± 20) and lidocaine groups (min 10 ± 30) (p <0/05).
