Assessing the Needs of High School Administrators in Sheeraaz

Abstract:
To assess the needs of high school administrators in Sheeraaz, a sample of 156 head masters was selected using a categorical random sampling method. A questionnaire was constructed to assess the educational needs of the administrators. The internal consistency of this instrument was 0.76. The results show that there is a significant difference in needs between male and female administrators as well as those with different levels of education. The main needs cited are familiarization with curriculum planning, ways of knowing and dealing with student's behavioral problems, recognition of the local needs and necessities, financial management skills, familiarity with counseling and guidance princples and models,… and social skills in attracting teacher and parental participation in school administration.
