Tourism Development Model Based on Promotion of Traditional Games in Iran

The goal of this research was to study the best ways to revival and promotion of traditional games in Iran and introducing a suitable model for tourism development. The instrument of this research was a researcher made questionnaire which its face and content reliability was approved based on experts’ opinions and construct validity was approved using Exploratory Factor Analysis. In addition، a pilot study was designed to determine validity of the questionnaire (Chronbach’s Alpha= 0/77). Subjects included 2983 faculty members in PE، managers of community sport، and athletes and coaches in all proviences of Iran which were chosed selectively. According to data analysis، positive aspects of traditional games included: simple application، availability to all age groups and its relationship with social culture. In addition the obstacles of development of traditional games were: lack of planning، lack of knowledge about the games، and lack of media attention. Results also showed that each 1 unit increase in the situation of traditional games Leads to 0/60 developments in tourism. Therefore، in order to factualize this effect and development of tourism، it is necessary to direct our programs toward the factors and ways determined in this research.
