Sociological Analysis of Resistance against Foreign Economic Interference during Persian Constitutional Revolution

Abstract:
Regarding former studied features of resistance action in social science, this article analyzes people resistance actions during Persian Constitutional Revolution era. This period was faced with political, social and intellectual uprising which challenged the tyranny of Monarchy system for the first time in modern form, by using new communicative tools. These efforts made foreign states worried; so to seek their interests, they followed a manner of interference. This article as a theoretical and analytical research, investigates documents to find resistance action during 1906-1912 period based on these earlier achieved characteristics: objective occurrence, opposition with status quo, coexistence of power and resistance, the importance of time and creativity of resistance action. Findings show that these actions come about based on national identity and around topics such as rejecting foreign borrowing, attempting for establishment of national bank, refusing currency of Shahanshahi bank, using Iranian goods instead of imported ones.
