The Effectiveness of Social Problem Solving Training on Mother-Child Interactionamong Mothers with Slow Paced Children

Abstract:
Purpose
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of social problem solving training on mother-child interactionamong mothers with slow-paced children.
Methods
The design of the study was a quasi-experimental pretest posttest control group design. The population of this research constituted of slow-paced primary school students in Ardabil in 2012. 72 slow-paced children were randomly selected and then divided into three groups of which the experimental group received training in social problem solving. Data analysis was done by running Multivariate Repeated Measures.
Findings
The results showed that social problem-solving training, improves mother-child interaction by affecting slow-paced children.
Conclusion
The findings suggest that social problem solving training can solve or reduce social problems of children with disabilities.
