The Design and Explanation of the Dimensions, Factors, and Indicators of Iran's Police Service's Productivity

Productivity is considered as one of the major factors influencing economic activities. Accordingly, for service organizations, one of the key ways of gaining advantages related to price and quality of services is incomes from the productivity. On the other hand, service section as one of the main economic factors of counties, plays an important role in quality development. Therefore, improvements in productivity of services have a major impact on economic development as well as competitive power of organizations. The Police, as one of the service organizations, needs to bolster its services continuously. As the police has some major services such as the establishment of order and security and protect the lives and property of citizens, it is very important to try to improve its services. In this regard, this paper aims to study and investigate aspects relating to Police services’ productivity and to propose a framework regarding the relevant dimensions, factors, and indicators as well as to test this framework through data gathered from the resarch’s sample. The research methodology in this study is practical in terms of objectives and data was analysed via the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique with the Smart PLS 2 software package in terms of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The findings are represented as a final framework containing three dimensions: strategic factors, employees, and services each corporated with several factors and indicators.
