Emotional- psychological characteristics and Emotional Intelligence of people suffering from self- deleterious behaviors

The present study aims at conducting a comparative study between the emotional- psychological characteristics and emotional intelligence of people suffering from self deleterious behavior and those of ordinary people. The question which is worth answering is “what type of people with what kind of characters can perform best in dealing with problems?”Statistical sample of the study was a set of people referred to the hospital for suicide from 2011 to 2012. Scl-90 and EQ tests were used to collect the required data. The findings of the study demonstrated that those who committed suicide had more physical complaints obsession, anxiety, and aggression than ordinary people.
