Modernism and its dominating factors in female teachers

Modernism is an evolution in individuals’ value، recognition، and behavior system، formed as a result of modernization macro process، changing individuals to efficient role players in organizational and institutional level; and serving as a facilitator for modernization and industrialization. Now، the question is that how much have society’s different groups been modernized? And then، what factors might affect the modernization? In this study، modernism is analyzed by combination of nine variables including scientism، egalitarianism، global attitude، risk taking، and accepting new experiences. Considering the modernization theories، the relationship between education duration، teaching period، having rural or urban origin، media partnership، age، social and economic status، social participation variables with modernism are also investigated. essentially is quantity based in design and has widely enjoyed survey research approach and techniques to study the documents for data collection. The population of study consists of female teachers of high schools in Tehran and the sample comprised of 260 individuals who were randomly chosen from different educational districts of Tehran، i. e. 2، 7، and 16، as the representative of high، medium، and low social category. Findings indicate that 67. 7 percent of the participants enjoyed modernism.
