The Study of Approaches and Strategic Management in Iran Police

Technology growth and extension of information domain have resulted in more sophisticated human relationships. Therefore police organizations also require to change and transform to achieve their targets. If administrative managers in today disciplinary context want to be successful they should align their work with strategic management. The purpose for writing this article is to study approaches and strategic management in Iran police using two approaches of community policing and knowledge based policing. This is a library research and its methodology is descriptive analytic. In this research, the information extracted from library studies such as library archives and authenticated internet sites. The results of this research indicated that approaches and strategic management which have been created in past two decades and seriously followed are two topics of community policing and knowledge based policing. The results of this research indicated that professionalism of police, organization structure, organization culture, problem oriented of police, people expectation of police, government expectation of police, social participation, police leadership style and human resources with high affirmative factor have the most effect on community policing and knowledge based policing. Therefore disciplinary forces for realization of community policing in Iran in general in decision building and decision making in their district should pay attention to planning, strategies, policies and effective factors on community policing management and its implementation should be the priority of all police unites.
