Inpatient Satisfaction and Effecting Factors: Findings from a Large Sample Size Cross Sectional Study

Abstract:
Introduction
Evaluation of patient satisfaction is one of the basic points in quality important systems. For the importance of this subject, this study has conducted in a Tehran subspecialty hospital in year 2014.
Methods
This cross sectional study was carried out on 518 inpatients coming in Tehran subspecialty hospital during two sections, summer and winter of year 2014 with stratified sampling. The tools used in this study were manmade patient satisfaction questioner and Questioner including demographical, preference and poll from patients.
Results
In this study, 258 (49.8%) and 260 (50.2%) of subjects sampled during winter and summer of year 2014 respectively. The average of inpatient satisfaction was 73.3%. In this study Hospital Parts (p=0.005) and the level of education patient (p=0.001) have shown statistical relationship with patient satisfaction but age (p=0.4), season (p=0.76) and type of insurance have not shown any statistical relationship with patient satisfaction.
Conclusion
According to result of this study and determine the rank of performance preference we can access more patient satisfaction.
