Interactive role of parent's ethnicity and offspring's gender on threr psycho-social development

Abstract:
Aim: Study aim was to determine interactive role of parent’s ethnicity of Fars, Turk, Kurd, Lor and offsprings’ gender on their psycho-social development.
Methods
Method was causal-comparative and statistical population were 29474 university students of Alborz Province, whom were selected through cluster multistage random sampling among of Farhangian, Agricultural and Islamic Azad of Karaj Universities. Using Kerjeci-Morgan (1970) table, 400 students were determined and on the basis of gender in each ethnic group; 100 students (50 female and 50 male students) were selected. Research instrument was Hawley psycho-social development questionnaire (1988).
Results
Results showed that positive attitudes score respectively in Fars, Kurd and Turk students more than Lor students (F=8.58, P
Conclusion
It is suggested that after identifying aspects of commonalities of cultural, parental, behavioral and religious in each of ethnicities that has a negative impact on psychosocial development of their boys and girls, develop training programs to correct them.
