Allegorical simile in Saeb Tabrizi's Ghazals

Allegorical simile is a special type of simile. In a simple classification, it could be classified into three types of broad (allegory), semi-concise and concise. In Saeeb Tabrizi's poetry the last two types are frequent. In this paper, the rhetorical structure of those lines which contain allegorical simile is touched on and the types of the sentences are investigated from the point of view of being non-statement or question form. The results show that concise allegorical simile with statement structure is the most frequent and with question structure is used in Saaeb's poetry.
