Evaluating the Factors Affecting Traffic Control Behavior of Motorcyclists

The aim of this study is to investigate the factors influencing traffic behaviors of motorcyclists in the city of Khorramabad. In this study, the methodology was based on descriptive – survey analyses in which questionnaires were used to collect data. The statistical sample included 32 traffic experts as a whole. Also, a number of 325 out of 2121 motorcyclists, who banned in 1393 because of traffic violations, were chosen by random method for data analysis. The results of the test research hypotheses indicated that there was a meaningful relationship between education, police control, laws and regulations with traffic control behavior. Also the explanatory variables in the questionnaires completed by motorcyclists and the ones completed by traffic experts covered the effects of dependent factors by 77 percent and 80 percent; respectively.
