Abstract:
This article reviews the book “distance learning and digital libraries”. But major challenges of current essay is emphasis on translated articles or gathered articles with shallow depth which sometimes overlapping each other. There is little cohesion in the material presented in the book, in other words it can be said that the book has no hierarchical or thematic order. Addressing the role of librarians in e-learning is the central point of the book which is very inconspicuous part in the similar texts. Another point should be mentioned is that in this book the Conclusion section are similar in most of the articles and repetitive phrases are used. Although this book is one of the few texts which specifically referred to the centrality of the role of librarians in e-learning, but what comes as weaknesses could be addressed in later editing work. However, this book can be used for undergraduate and graduate students in field of Information Science and Knowledge Studies.
