A Study on the Quality of Student's Interactions in the Network of Social Relationships

Social experience of human mainly forms with social network interactions. This study has been done with the aim to investigate the quality of students’ interactions in very private areas to more public domains. This is a survey with a descriptive-correlational method. The statistical population consists of 2600 Gonabad University students among which 340 were selected using Cochran’s sample size formula and multistage sampling method. The research instrument is a researcher-developed questionnaire that its validity was confirmed by experts. 92/5% of the respondents have evaluated favorable interactions with family members, 7/5% facultative and only 0/5% undesirable. Most utility of relations has been reported in the sphere of intimacy, respect and empathy, cooperation, consultation and lack of jealousy among the network of family relationships and especially mothers’ family and neighbors, and the lowest has been reported in relations with colleagues.
