Methodology of Allameh Tabatabaei in using siaq in Almizan

To understand the speech of a speaker or a text, in addition to the words and idioms expressed in his/her words, other tools need to be applied. Of these tools we can pay attention to special texture of the speech, and pre and post speeches which involve [arts of the speech, thus creating meanings. This style is called Syaq in speech. Allame Tabatabaea has made use of this style in Al Mizan Interpretation and has achieved successes. His attention to Syaq is based on his prior knowledge. The most important of this prior knowledge implies "The Quran's independanbce in implication".True understanding of intention of each speaker or text requires (as a must) tools other than familiarity with lexicon and idioms. Among the hints that could lead us to discover intention of the author are paying attention to special texture of the text and the massages before and after of it. This attribute of the speech called as Siaq-e Kalam. Allameh Tabatabaei in “Almizan” has benefited from Siaq-e Ayat(Siaq of verses) achieved findings. He has focused on Siaq on the basis of some pre-knowledge. The main pre-knowledge in this regard is belief in “independence of Quran in guiding” which causes the interpreter to focus on the text more than every other things, and to try to discover the meaning from inside of the holly text. The second pre-knowledge of Allameh is that ”the divine text of Quran enjoys maximum possible lawfulness”. Quran is totally different from speech of human being concerning solidarity. It is free from common and general mistakes which may occur in an ordinary speech. Therefore all of its characteristics including Siaq of each single phrase and sentence could be taken into consideration
