Self-respect as foreign policy; Theoretical framework for analyzing the foreign policy of the Safavieh government

Author(s):
Abstract:
Some people believe that after the Islamic Revolution, their preservation and self-respect in foreign policy prevail over national interests, and national interests are sometimes overlooked. But it should be said that this level of attention and respect for communication with foreigners can be taken from the strategic culture of the dignified Iranian people. Therefore, the main question of the current research has been formed on the basis of whether other concepts, other than the acquisition of "power" and "security" such as "pride", have the ability to explain Iran's foreign policy during the Safavid period? The present article seeks to prove the hypothesis that the concept of "self esteem" can be transformed into three components of self-imposed conflict in conflict, "priority of identity" and "dignity", and explained the conflicts of the Safavid state.
