Mahdavi government and its duration period

The debate of Mahdism encompasses different aspects and diverse issues; one of the issues in this field is the period and duration of Imam Mahdi’s government. The reason of the importance of this issue is because of the propounding it at traditionary communities and the presence of different responses. With due attention to various traditions in this issue, some are believe in long-term duration of Mahdavi government and another group is believe in short-term of it. The view of Mahdavi domination’s time span is confirmed not only by traditions, but also by the rational reasons such as the requirement of worldwide governance, on the other hand some reasons such as the possibility of acquiring the Prophet’s goals in a limited time, have made the thinking of short-term of Imam Mahdi’s government acceptable. This research attempts to answer the circumstance of collection among diverse traditions that both views cited to them. Finally, the evidence of long-term period of reign theory is critiqued and the short-term period viewpoint of Imam Mahdi’s reign is enhanced.
